After comparing prices of 5 Nagoya Hill massage parlors, I decided to get my massage done at Thai Odyssey.
Not only is Thai Odyssey’s prices one of the most competitive among the 5 massage parlors, I was very impressed with the grand Thai interior. The moment I stepped inside, I felt as if I have been transported to a secret spa fit for kings and queens.
No matter what massage you are getting, it always starts with washing feet. While other massage parlors use plastic basins, Thai Odyssey uses gray-color ceramic basin lined with large pebbles, making the simple feet-washing into an experience.
I opted for a 60-Minute Half Body Massage [IDR200000] as I was having neck, shoulder and back pain. I was brought to a room on the second floor and I was asked to take off my clothes and lie face-down on the bed. The masseuse was a plump Indonesian lady who spoke little English. She did a good massage, I just wished she could have put more emphasis on the neck and shoulders. I told her at the beginning of the massage, but she apparently did not understand me.
My father did a 60-Minute Traditional Foot Massage [IDR180000] and he said that the young masseuse was inexperienced but she did a good job.
All in all, I feel that Thai Odyssey is one of the better massage parlors in Nagoya Hill. Their prices are competitive, the environment is comfortable and the masseuses have good massage skills.
