三寶大腸麵線 originated from Kaohsiung and there is one outlet in Taipei. It has been around for more than 30 years.
Located in Wanhua District, it is not a place tourists will frequent and only locals will know about this place.
As the name suggests, 三寶大腸麵線 specializes in mian xian, which is also commonly known as misua or mee sua.
This is the Large Intestine Mian Xian 大肠麵線 [NTD$45 for Small, NTD$55 for Large], one of the signature mian xian. The mian xian comes in a thick and silky broth, topped with a generous portion of pork large intestines. The portion size is huge, so get the small bowl if you are not a big eater. It goes perfectly with the chilli sauce that can be seen on each table.
If intestines are not your thing, you can also go for the Shredded Pork Mian Xian 肉羹麵線 [NTD$45 for Small, NTD$50 for Large]. The shredded pork are very tender and the chilli sauce works perfectly with this one too.
