For years I have been under the impression that massage in Singapore is horribly expensive. I thought an one-hour session will cost at least S$80-100. That is not something a salaried worker like me can afford.
I badly needed a massage because I have been having very bad muscle aches. I didn’t want the aromatherapy massage where they rub oil all over my body or Thai massage where they twist and turn my body. I came across a different type of massage called “deep tissue massage” which helps to realign deep levels of muscles and connective tissue, relieving chronic aches.
I decided to pamper myself and splurge on a deep tissue massage session. I did some research online and many people recommended Healing Touch. I went to Healing Touch’s website and one-hour of Deep Tissue Massage costs S$55, which I can accept. Healing Touch has apparently won quite a few awards and it is ranked 9th place among 470 spa and wellness centers on TripAdvisor. Looks good, Healing Touch it is.
Healing Touch is a Singapore homegrown brand and there are 7 branches – Yishun Orchid Country Club, Alexandra, Upper Thomson, Novena, Fort Canning, Tampines Central and Orchard Tanglin.
Besides calling to make appointment, you can also make appointment on their website. You can choose the outlet, type of massage, time slot and preferred masseur.

The Deep Tissue Massage that I opted for costs S$55 (S$58.85 with GST) for an one-hour session which I think is pretty affordable.
After registration, the staff brought me to a small and cosy room where I was asked to strip naked and lie on the bed.
My masseur was a young lady called Anna. She applied some massage oil on my body and relieved the pain in my neck, shoulders and lower back with slow deep strokes. Anna is from Thailand, no wonder her massage techniques reminded me of Thai massage.
You will be given a cup of ginger tea after your massage.
You can buy their own brand of 100% natural sea salt scrubs and massage oils.
I like that Healing Touch does not try to sell you massage packages. If you ask them about their package offers, the staff will show you and explain this package price list. Healing Touch has 3 packages which are priced at S$550, S$1100 and S$1800. The price per treatment is slightly cheaper when you buy a package than usual price, the number of times of sessions depends on which package you buy.

I am deeply impressed by Healing Touch’s professionalism, no hard-selling and great locations. The prices are definitely much more than Batam massage, but it is still pretty affordable.
